Mining is serious hard work

After a lot of posts romanticizing FIFO mining, I need to get this out of my chest. Mining is not some kind of lifestyle adventure tht you just try for a few months.

This is serious, hard work where people's lives are on the line every single day.
The real crews out here aren't posting about it for likes. They're busting their backs through long swings and rough conditions, and they're missing things back home that you can't get back.

When you turn a demanding job like this into a lifestyle brand, you cheapen what these people do.
It lowers the standard, and when people who aren't built for it burn out, they're the first to call it 'toxic' because they never respected the work to begin with.

Mining isn't for everyone, and FIFO definitely isn't. It's supposed to be hard because it's important. So if you're thinking about getting into it, come in for the right reasons, or don't come in at all.

Respect to everyone who shows up and does it right. You know who you are.

These kinds of things continue to pop up and I feel like some aren't understanding the difficulties and complexities of these kinds of jobs. They're not going to many anyone rich overnight, especially those that don't take this seriously enough. The worst part is that getting harmed or worse is a serious possibility. Mining isn't a walk in the part, it takes commitment, skills and strength.
