Mining isn't just a trend

I feel like people try to turn mining into some kind of lifestyle brand, FIFO n all that, like it's all just an aesthetic, but to me, that kind of image polishing cheapens what this job is really about, mining is hard, skilled, often dangerous work, it takes grit, patience, and a real understanding of what you're doing, when people treat it like a phase or a backdrop for content, they lower the standard, and when the reality kicks in and they burn out, they're the ones who cry that the industry is not all that
But maybe it's not the industry...maybe they're the ones
Just my take though, but I'd rather see fewer people getting into this for the wrong reasons, and more people showing up because they understand the responsibility that comes with the job

Mining isn't some trendy lifestyle, it's real work. It takes skill, guts, and commitment, if you're in it for clout, you're gonna burn out fast, you gotta respect the craft or don't bother.

This is the second thread on this forum I come across and I completely agree with it. To be fair, it's becoming a trend and I keep seeing this all over the internet. People think that working as a miner is like being an influencer on social media. It's not, but only those who've seen the guts of this industry know it's not sunshine and rainbows.
