Mining is a tough job

From what i've seen and experienced, mining is not just some "lifestyle." Mining is hard, dangerous work and if youre there for the wrong reasons you put everyone at risk. I've been working as a geo for 5 years, and the reality is tough, injuries happen fast and they're not the kind you can just walk off. One lapse in focus, and it changes everything in a blink.

What do you think, do people underestimate how serious mining really is??

Hmm.. @stonehenge63 some people often glamorize it without realizing the constant risks. One small mistake underground can have serious consequences, so respect and focus are everything.

Absolutely, safety seems like it has to be second nature down there.
