FIFO mining jobs for a Newbie

Am I dreaming? I'm 24 years old and I'm looking at moving to Australia for a six to twelve-month cash grab in the mines doing FIFO work. I honestly don't have any relevant qualifications for the mining industry and I don't plan to stay long term, I just need an entry-level job for decent money in the next few months. I keep hearing about a high demand for workers but then I also read that companies don't just hire people with no experience that easily. I don't care what the job is as long as I get my foot in the door. But tell me straight, is it actually realistic to expect to land one of these entry-level mining jobs so quickly without specific trade skills or is this just wishful thinking? What are the basic certifications I need to even apply for a FIFO labourer position?

Entry-level jobs in the mining industry pay significantly less than what people think, especially for applicants who lack formal qualifications or prior experience.
Also, it's highly unlikely any company would hire someone planning to leave within a year, and even if they did, the pay would be extremely low.

bro, it's not a dream, but it's not a walk in the park either. It's totally realistic to land an entry level FIFO job without experience, but you need to be prepared to hustle.
The demand is high, but so is the number of people trying the exact same cash grab.
the best thing you can do is targeting contracting companies that hire for Trainee/Utility/Cleaning roles on site, not the big mining houses directly. they're way more willing to take on green hands

Make sure you have your White Card and probably a Manual Handling cert. Some places also want you to get a drug test and medical checkup before you start. Getting these done early shows you're serious about the job.
