After long hours underground, I’ve really come to value a tasty meal nearby.
It could be a charming hidden café or a famous truck-stop eatery.
What’s the most memorable lunch place you’ve found near a mine, and what made it stand out to you?

There's this cozy little Mexican spot just ten minutes from the site that serves breakfast burritos as big as your forearm. For around four bucks, you’ll be fueled up for an entire shift. It’s become a tradition for everyone to swing by before the day shift starts

I stumbled upon a food truck near our Wyoming operation that serves some seriously good barbecue. The guy running it is a retired miner who just wanted to share his love for cooking. Honestly, it’s the best pulled pork I’ve ever tasted, and he really understands what shift workers crave. The portions are always generous.

There’s a small diner run by an older couple right by the mine entrance. It’s nothing fancy, but the coffee is always hot, and the lady knows everyone’s order by heart. It’s the kind of place that feels like home after a tough morning underground.

Maybe everyone who has been to PA knows about the Catacombs in Mount Joy. it's great experience there, very memorable and has delicious food
