You’ve spent enough time underground to know not every machine is built to take the beating. Some rigs seem to fall apart after a season, while others just keep grinding through the abuse. What’s been the most reliable equipment you’ve run down there? Share which ones have held up best for you, and which ones didn’t make the cut.

Gotta say, those old Cat loaders were tough as nails. I ran one for a couple of seasons and didn't have any problems, which is saying something.

I've used a Sandvik drill rig that was a real workhorse. We really put it to the test in some tough conditions, and while the smaller rigs would fail quickly, that one kept going strong. All it needed was regular maintenance.

When I worked long shifts underground, I trusted the Komatsu haul trucks. The other brands would fall apart after a year, but those Komatsus just kept going, even with heavy loads and rough ground. It was great not stressing about failure during a shift.
