We need to start production on our new CAT6040 shovel before the official training next year. I'm looking for any shareable resources or guides on hydraulic shovel operating techniques suitable for our operators. Thanks!

Reach out to your Caterpillar dealer for interim operator training materials or simulator access. They often have pre-delivery training resources available. It’s also a good idea to see if experienced operators can help mentor the new crews. Running a 6040 without proper training can risk equipment damage and safety problems, so I highly recommend waiting for the official training.
