You’ve been meandering through the yard, giving your gear that slow, contemplative glance, telling yourself you’ll tighten this, grease that, and maybe even fix that thing you’ve been putting off since July. Now, you’re eager to see what everyone else is working on before the new year kicks in.

Share your quick checks, must-fix items, and anything you’re trying to get ahead of before January hits. Let’s keep it real and shop-floor friendly.

Yeah, I've been there. I keep walking around my yard, telling myself I'll finally tighten those bolts I should've taken care of ages ago. Before the new year hits, I gotta check the batteries and change the filters learned that lesson the hard way with a dead battery one winter.

Oh man, I feel you on that one. I've been ignoring a gearbox leak since, like, forever, and now I'm scrambling to fix it before it gets too cold. I always do the usual: fluids, belts, and plenty of grease. It's not a big deal, but it really helps me avoid problems when January comes.

At year-end, we mainly focus on drilling and compressed air equipment, especially DTH hammers, drill rods, and air compressors.
Key checks include wear on critical components, air leakage, impact efficiency, and overall uptime, since these directly affect drilling performance and operating costs.
Preventive maintenance at this stage helps avoid unexpected downtime during peak production periods.

Thanks for sharing this. I really appreciate the detailed breakdown strong preventive measures like these are key to keeping everything running smoothly and avoiding any surprises down the line.
