The future of mining

I'm writing a research paper about mining, i covered history i covered the present but i'm a bit stuck on tomorrow or what the future holds. I would like to hear opinions on this topic

Mining has long been dependent upon progress in other technologies and adapting the technology to mining.
Examples include remote-operated or autonomous equipment, sophisticated sampling and ore discretion, cutting-edge geophysical methods and radical shifts in safety culture.

The future is clear, automation, electrification, and AI are already here and ramping up fast. Mines are getting more remote, so the old ways won't cut it, if your paper doesn't cover how data, robotics, and sustainability targets are reshaping operations, it's missing the point.

Also take into account the changing demand for resources, it's critical minerals for batteries and semiconductors that are pushing us to explore unconventional deposits and even look into urban mining. On top of that, those regulatory pressures and ESG standards are also influencing whether these projects are viable.
