Night shift snacks beating the 2 A.M. slump

You’ve been working the night shift long enough to feel the unique struggle that comes with 2 a.m. Your eyelids start to droop, your energy takes a nosedive, and that’s when the perfect snack can really turn things around.

What’s your go-to treat when the fatigue sets in? I’d love to hear your favorites whether it’s something quick and easy, a homemade delight, or just a guilty pleasure that keeps you energized.
 
I usually just snag a granola bar. I learned real fast that something small but filling keeps me from nodding off.
 
I bring a thermos of my own soup. After surviving on vending machine junk for a couple of rough nights, I found out that a warm meal at 2 a.m. makes a big difference. It’s comforting, fills me up, and gives me enough drive to get through until morning.
 
Coffee and a donut are my staples. When I started working nights, I tried energy drinks, but they made me too jittery. Coffee and a snack keep me going through my whole shift.
