Getting back into the swing of things after some time off can be a bit of a challenge. You’ve enjoyed a more relaxed schedule, but now it’s time to flip the switch and get your mind back on work. So, what can you do to smoothly transition back into work mode without feeling overwhelmed on that first day?

I used to try and hit the ground running at 100mph, but now I do more like a soft launch
day one is strictly for boring admin, like sorting the inbox, updating my calendar, and checking in with the team
honestly, I don't touch any complex projects until day two or three. easing into the gears prevents that immediate Sunday night style burnout

I’ve found that jumping right into hard work never goes well for me. A slow start you know, coffee, a quick look at things, then one important task keeps the first day from being too much.

When I got back from my time off, I learned that spending the first hour on easy organizing tasks really helped. It's like a warm-up before getting into the heavy stuff.

After a break, I like to start with something small and simple. It helps me get back into the swing of things without feeling stressed.
