Does anyone still use tricone roller bit for open mining blasting hole drilling?

The tricone bit is widely used in open mining blasting hole drilling before, but now it seems used less than before, so what's the newest technology for blasting hole?

I did a little quick digging into this topic, while tricone bits are still a go-to for softer or medium formations, the trend in blasting-hole drilling is shifting towards "down-the-hole (DTH) hammer systems" for tackling harder rock and achieving better hole accuracy. In some instances, "PDC bits" are also making their way in for faster penetration rates and extended tool life. Plus, we're seeing "automation and digital rig control" becoming more prevalent, which is really boosting efficiency and precision in patterns.

Now, let’s talk about something else: keeping an eye on things as they happen and watching out for wear and tear. This can really help fine-tune the drilling settings and cut down on wasted time.
