Flyrock incidents can lead to significant costs and safety hazards. What preventive measures have proven most effective at your site? Have you made use of blast mats, set up exclusion zones, or enhanced your stemming techniques?

We're seeing better timing and less flyrock with electronic initiation systems. Plus, pre-split blasting is helping us keep things tighter and reduce overbreak.

Great points! Is anyone else using blast mats or adjusting burden and spacing to manage flyrock? I’d love to hear how those strategies compare.

Great discussion so far. I really like how electronic initiation and pre-splitting work together, what a powerful combination. I'm curious, though, has anyone been keeping an eye on vibration data? I believe it could really help in adjusting the timing or load. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
