When you're on-site and the drill starts cutting slower, it's time to check for drill bit wear.
Nobody enjoys downtime, right? Rather than guessing, what quick field checks do you use to spot signs of basic drill bit wear?
I’d love to hear about any simple visual cues or tricks that help you save time in practice today

This morning was so boring, and my bit felt dull. I cleaned it off checked for uneven edges and small cuts and then gave it a light tap. If it seemed wobbly or wrong, I switched it out right away.

Yesterday, I ran into some trouble.
The bit started to vibrate like crazy.
I took it out, looked at the edges in the sun, and yep, it had some chips.
ime for a new one.

If a bit's slow, I just check if the edges are sharp and the tip's angled right. If it's worn down or shiny, it's done for. Quick look, no thinking needed, and back to work.
