Alright, folks! When it comes to underground work, safety is the name of the game. So I gotta know what PPE brands you all actually trust. What helmets, respirators, gloves, and boots have really done the job and kept you safe down in the dirt?

I swear by 3M respirators. They just fit right, and I trust them to keep me safe during those long shifts underground.

When I first started working underground, I didn't really care about brands. I just used whatever they gave me. But after a couple of near misses, I learned how important good PPE is. I switched to MSA helmets after seeing how well they held up when things got rough. A buddy told me about 3M respirators during a job with a ton of dust, and I've used them ever since. I always wear Red Wing boots they’re tough enough to last through mud, rock, and super long shifts. And I like Carhartt gloves because they're both tough and comfy.

I'm all about MSA helmets and Carhartt gloves. A crew lead put me on to them way back, and they've survived some seriously rough work. When you're down in the mines, having gear you can count on matters big time.

Man, I've tried so many different brands, but I always go back to Honeywell boots and 3M respirators. Those boots have saved my feet more times than I can even remember, especially when the ground is wet and uneven. And the respirators? They're comfy enough that I can wear them for hours, which is super important when you're underground. For helmets, I usually go with MSA they're tough and I know they'll do the job.
