A woman in her 20s here! I'm about to do my first swing in utility on a mine site and feeling a mix of excited and nervous. I've read all the company info and know the basics, but I'm looking for the stuff no one really talks about..

To the women in mining, especially those who started in utility or camp services: what do you wish you knew before your first roster? And I mean the nitty-gritty of camp life, the social side, or anything you've learned that made the lifestyle easier. I'm keen to hear your honest experiences and exchange insights. Cheers, ladies!

Biggest tips I'd share
Pack good earplugs and a decent pair of slides or flip flops for camp life and don't be afraid to set boundaries early, most people are respectful, but it helps, you'll settle in faster than you think, we all are rooting for you

Keep your PPE handy and stick to your daily tasks, things can change quickly in utility work. Throw some extra socks, snacks, and earplugs in your bag. The social scene? It depends some groups are tight-knit, others are more laid-back. Show respect, and remember, good radio manners are super important
