What’s up with identical rigs burning fuel differently?

I’ve been running two of the same machines on the same route, but one is barely using any fuel while the other is guzzling it down.

Has anyone else seen this? How do you all manage to track and balance fuel burn without going nuts?

Haha, I totally get that! I keep tabs on each machine with a quick fuel log and some guesswork, sometimes it’s the operator, and other times one machine just likes to act up.

I usually weigh the tanks before and after each run, write down the numbers, and then compare them.
It can be a bit of a hassle, but it saves me from going crazy over fuel mysteries.

You’ve gotta love how twins can act so differently. I track the runtime versus distance, adjust the loads, and it cracks me up when the 'fuel guzzler' finally settles down. It’s all about finding that balance through tracking, being patient, and of course, having some coffee
