Old-school gear you still prefer

There’s something about old-school gear that just hits differently, right? You might have given the latest fancy flashlights, upgraded tools, or high-tech gadgets a shot, but sometimes, nothing beats the classics. They’re often tougher, simpler, or just remind us of good times.

What old gear or habits do you still hold onto instead of the shiny new stuff?
 
When I used to work long nights, I always had my old leather gloves. I tried the newer synthetic ones, but they weren't as lasting and comfy. Old gear carries memories and is reliable.
 
I still have a toolbox from when I was younger. The hinges squeak, and the paint is old, but it's stronger than any new case. I remember the times when the simple, strong gear kept me going.
