I have been employed into a mining company for a while, and I'm just checking what can be considered as a tell-tale sign that the company is closing down.

Why I asked is because I recently heard that some managers have resigned and they were with the company for more than 10 years! there's a recent budget cut as well. thanks everyone!

It's worrying when managers quit and budgets shrink, it usually means problems are coming. Other things to watch for are hiring stops, fewer shifts, and less info from the top.

Have you seen any changes at work or heard different things about the future of the company? Are your coworkers worried too? Asking HR or your manager might help you understand what's happening. How do you feel about all of this?

Those are definitely red flags, if projects are getting shelved, hiring freezes pop up, or vendors aren't being paid on time, that's when you know it's getting serious

Yeah, those are definitely concerning signs, especially long-term managers leaving and budget cuts.
What @TunnelRat said can be true.
Often, other indicators can include a sudden halt or slowdown in new projects, a significant decrease in capital expenditure, or unusual sales of major assets.
A lack of communication from leadership regarding the company's future can also be a red flag.
It's tough when you see these things, but it's wise to be aware.
Hope whatever's happening at your company is just coincidence and that things turn out okay for you!
